Visit to two gardens in Hampshire and Berkshire including lunch

Earlstone Manor, Burghclere, Newbury RG20 9NG
By kind permission of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Ginsberg

A truly unique and remarkable garden designed by the owner. A series of linked rooms with intricate box parterres, knots and mazes framed by yew and a colonnade of hornbeam. This is a very private garden.

Sandwich lunch at The Royal Oak, Ecchinswell, RG20 4UH

Sandleford Place, Newtown, Newbury RG20 9AY 2.30 to 4.30 pm
By kind permission of Mrs. Melanie Gatward

A plantswoman’s 4 acres, more exuberant than manicured with the River Enbourne flowing through. Wonderful old walled garden; long herbaceous border and wild flower meadow.

Tea and biscuits.
