Visit to two gardens in Gloucestershire

Rockcliffe House, Upper Slaughter GL54 2JW

2m from Stow-on-the-Wold. 1½m from Lower Swell on B4068 towards Cheltenham.

Over the last 36 years the owners have created a magnificent garden of 8-acres from very little. Walls have been built, hedges and trees planted, garden rooms, canals and a greenhouse constructed. Topiary doves lead to a stone dovecote and beech obelisks flank the view to the ha-ha. A dramatic pond is surrounded by 6 cornus contraversa variegata.
Coffee and biscuits on arrival. You may picnic in the field for lunch or try out a local pub.

2.30 to 5.30pm

Ablington Manor, Ablington, Bibury GL7 5NY

By kind permission of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cooper
A rare opportunity to view one of the most beautiful Cotswold gardens through which runs the River Coln. The 4-acre garden has herbaceous borders, a walled garden, rose pergola, a woodland garden and arboretum. Tea and cakes from 3.30 pm
